Car Swap Event

Our task was to plan and execute a strategy to stimulate the market when new car sales were showing a sign of stagnation.
We created a special event running over a period of a week incentivising customers to swap their current car for a new one. On many occasions customers were able to continue paying the same per month, or in some cases save money, despite driving home in a shiny new car.
• The tag line ‘Swap your old car and keep the change’
• Designed a Car Swap logo used across all material for a consistent thread
• High quality direct mail invitation to the database
• Email to the database linking to the website
• Applied the creative to the website for customers to book appointments online
• Began a social media build up to the event using videos and images reaching 1000’s within the area of influence
• Car Swap Event branded showroom flags, window stickers, windscreen stickers, windscreen slashes, balloons, polo shirts, parking signs, number plates, outdoor banner, pull up banners.
Before and during the event, we saw a huge interaction through social media, the website and appointments booked. This led to a major increase in footfall throughout the week helping to achieve 130% of the month’s target for new car sales along with doubling used cars sold compared with the previous month.
